TICKETING PROCESS

On the morning of the show, I entered the digital lottery. At 2 PM, I received the email notification that I had won. I arrived at the Box Office 30 minutes prior to the show to line up for ticket distribution. My roommate also won the lottery on the same day! Tickets were $42 each. I had a totally full view of the stage.

PRODUCTION REVIEW

The word that comes to mind when describing this musical, for me, is ‘cute.’ I definitely giggled throughout the show as some of the writing and comedic timing on the actors’ part was spot-on, but the message of the show was questionable at times and many of the musical numbers were not especially memorable in my opinion. I will say that I absolutely adored the performances of Sarah Stiles and Andy Grotelueschen – their scenes were by far my favorite, and I was most invested in their character development. If you’re looking for a fun, happy-go-lucky night at the theater, this is the show for you. If you’re looking for a work of evocative performance art, I might suggest selecting another show.

STAGE DOOR EXPERIENCE

Everyone was super friendly at the stage door! Everyone was willing to take photos and spend quality time having a conversation. On the night I went, Santino Fontana did take about 90 minutes to come out as he had guests backstage, and it was very cold and windy, so I’d advise checking the weather ahead of time and preparing accordingly.

STAGE DOOR LOCATION

The stage door is on 45th Street, perpendicular to the theater entrance. When exiting through the lobby escalator, make a left through the overpass and then another left, which should bring you to the barricades.
