TICKETING PROCESS

On the day of the show, I arrived at the Box Office at 11AM for in-person rush when the Box Office opened at 12 noon. I was first in line. My ticket wound up being front row center Orchestra (B114). I had a full view for the entirety of the production. The ticket cost $40.

PRODUCTION REVIEW

This play was a 90-minute masterclass in acting. All four characters were spectacularly cast. Laurie Metcalf dominates the stage, never really getting a moment to herself throughout the duration of the show. The entire show takes place over a 72-hour period, which I love because it leads the audience to be fully immersed in a singular moment in time. I’d be curious to know where the textual evidence is coming from in terms of how the script was developed, but I think it speaks to the caliber of the production that I’m still thinking about the context of the play days after the fact, wanting to research myself and learn more.

STAGE DOOR EXPERIENCE

Laurie Metcalf and John Lithgow both came out of the Stage Entrance to sign Playbills. They definitely were gracious and took their time meeting audience members. Both of them commented that there would be no photograph taking at the stage door, especially “selfies with fans.” No other actors or people involved with the production came out through the Stage Door.

STAGE DOOR LOCATION

Exit the theater and make a left. Actors will exit through a long corridor with barricades on either side. Make sure to stand on the inside of these barricades, towards the theater walls, as actors will loop around when signing to get to their cars faster.
